He transferred the shop to the sawmill’s workshop building, the current location of Kyläkauppa, in 1969. In 1976, Toivo’s sons Matti and Mikko Keskinen bought the company, T.M.K. Keskinen, from their father and founded Tuuri Veljekset Keskinen Oy. The padlocks attached to the railings of OnnenSilta (Lucky Bridge) symbolize committed love relationships. The Story of the Finnish Markka
Of the Moomin products, especially Arabia’s Moomin mugs are sought-after collectables. The bridge connects the parking lots on both sides of the Tuurinjoki river. A Short History of Tuuri
Dogs can swim in the lake at the back of the caravan site or next to Veljekset Siltala, where there is easier access to the beach. In the Kyläkauppa area, there are several restaurants serving the caravanners. In winter season the saunas are open every day from 7pm to 10pm. Tuuri is a village in Alavus Municipality in Western Finland, a part of the Southern Ostrobothnia Region. The village is home to a population of around 780 inhabitants and the second-largest department store in Finland – the Veljekset Keskinen. As a symbol for Tuuri, meaning “luck” in Finnish, a large horse shore stands next to the large shopping center.
